1. Never tire of learning; a good student can learn anywhere, anytime. This is the secret of knowledge.
2. A good student to sacrifice himself for his art and instructor. Many students feel that their training is a fee-bought merchandise, and they are not eager to participate in demonstrations, teach or work around the gym; an instructor must be forced to lose this type of student.
3. I've always been a good example for lower-graduation belts. It's natural for them to want and try to emulate more advanced students.
4. Always be loyal and never criticize instructor, Taekwon-do or teaching methods.
5. If an instructor teaches you a technique, practice it and try using it.
6. Remember that the student's behavior outside of class reflects art and Instructor.
7. If a student adopts a technique from another gym and the instructor disapproves of it, the student should immediately discard it or train in the gym where the technique was learned.
8. Never be disrespectful to your Instructor, even though a student is allowed to disagree, the student must eventually remain right and wrong.
9. A student should always be eager to learn and ask questions.
10. Never destroy a truth.
Student Oath
I'LL OBSERVE THE RULES OF TAEKWON-DO
I WILL RESPECT THE INSTRUCTOR AND THE GREATEST
I WILL NEVER MISUSE TAEKWON-DO
I WILL FIGHT FOR FREEDOM AND JUSTICE
I'LL HELP BUILD A MORE PEACEFUL WORLD
The philosophy of TKD can be summarized using the last two statements of the student's oath:
– I will be champion of justice and freedom.
– I will build a better and more peaceful world.
With the practice of TKD ITF and living in accordance with its core values, we will become good citizens, and we will be able to build a better world.
He trusted that these words will convince them about the importance of teaching the "C". I hope that all ITF Instructors in their teaching programs will act energetically and without delay incorporating moral and mental training.
